I went back to my hometown of Houston, Texas last week, which of course meant lots of eating. Hard to fit it all in, but of course, we had to try the new place Poscol. We knew it would be good, since its owners are also owners of one of our favorite places, Dolce Vita. While eating our melt in your mouth prosciutto, we decided to start our own blog, so here we are!
Poscol was great, and highly recommended. The dish made famous in Venice's Harry's Bar, is worth trying. It is so rich a creamy though, you only need a bite or two. It's basically pasta loaded with cream, butter and tiny pieces of prosciutto...ah-mazing, Salads and the pannini's are the items to try. We went for the duck confit panini. It was delish, but we all agreed, we'd try something new next time. Cheese and wine selections were great and not overwhelming in the least. The staff and manager could not have been nicer.
All in all, we're going to give it an "SM" - that "simply marvelous for those of you who don't know us yet!
PS, sorry we don't have pics of the food...we're just starting this!
